The EXFO X-Cite 120Q (originally manufactured by EXFO, later produced under Lumen Dynamics and Excelitas Technologies is an industry-standard, high performance fluorescence microscope illumination system. It utilizes a powerful 120-watt mercury vapor short arc lamp to provide uniform, rich spectral excitation across the sample plane. It is widely used in routine assays, clinical testing, and multi-user core imaging facilities. 

• Light Source: Proprietary 120-watt Mercury Vapor Short Arc Lamp.
• Spectral Range: Broad spectrum spanning 350 nm to 700 nm, which supports a wide range of fluorophores.
• Lamp Life: Guaranteed for 2,000 hours (typically lasts up to 2,500 hours), which is roughly ten times longer than conventional mercury burner lamps.
• Light Delivery: Connects to the microscope via a 3mm liquid light guide.
• Warm-Up Period: Approximately 90 seconds.
