Description
Sputter Coater Polaron SC500 including Edwards E2 M5 Vacuum Pump
Can be used for Au/Pd, Pd, Pt, Ni or Ag deposition. It is currently fitted with gold (Au) target.
- Specimen stage: Adjustable height universal stage with 6 holes for stubs
- Vacuum chamber: 165mm internal diameter x 135mm high
- Target to stage distance: 50mm – 80mm
- Pumping requirements: Pump to evacuate >1×10-3 mbar
The unit powers up and we have managed to sputter (see image). However it is not a reliable process as the chamber seals are perished/cracked (see image) or maybe the vacuum pump is not providing enough ultimate vacuum. So it is sold as spares/repairs on a non-return basis. Images form part of the description.
